A spectacle of UV light, sound and video projection for LewesLight
The StudioFractal design team create a ‘light fantastic’ for the LewesLight, Festival of Light 2017. The immersive piece will be found just off the high street - North Court, Lewes on the 13th, 14th and 15th of October. Free to view between the hours of 7-11pm. This unique annual event is in its third occurrence.
The dynamic piece is inspired by Malcom Rose’s Harpsichord workshop, where instruments are built, repaired and replica models created, bringing to life the entrancing music of the past. We illustrate this fascinating musical heritage through strings approaching and leaving the workshop and we have framed the delightful architecture with UV activating tape and illustrated sound waves. The design uses UV light, animated projectors and sound to bring to life the history of this music and craft.
Many thanks to all the manufacturers, engineers and education facilities who have given their generous support on this project including - Rosco, iGuzzini, Binary Lighting, Architainment, Steve Burgan Music Production and Sussex Downs College.
We hope to see you there!
