An award-winning lighting design highlights the elegance and majesty of Brunel’s famous bridge. Subtly revealing the major architectural and structural forms whilst providing low glare accessibility lighting for vehicular and pedestrian traffic, the lighting approach carefully controlled glare and unwanted light spill. Bespoke LED projectors are arranged along the suspension cables to recreate the UK’s first festoon lighting installation. Carefully positioned lighting reveals the texture and form of the towers and supporting abutments whilst circulation lighting within a bespoke detail ensures even lighting across the bridge deck.
