Kampus is a £250-million new garden neighbourhood in Manchester city centre by HBD and Capital & Centric. Once home to the Manchester Metropolitan University, the site has been transformed into over 500 build-to-rent apartments, with a range of retail, food and drink spaces set around a secret garden and next to the canal. StudioFractal have created a comprehensive lighting strategy encompassing a range of interior and exterior lighting treatments throughout this new vibrant neighbourhood. Light and shadow are carefully balanced to provide comfortable spaces for the new occupants and visitors while creating a unique night-time character for the site.
