StudioFractal are collaborating with Adjaye Associates to provide a natural and artificial lighting design for The Africa Institute in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The first centre of its kind dedicated to the advanced study, research, and documentation of Africa and the African diaspora located in the Arab world. Since its establishment in 2018, The Africa Institute has organized international symposia and conferences, art exhibitions and artist commissions, film and performance series, and public programs.

StudioFractal’s approach is to provide seamless integration of light and architecture across the campus project, enhancing the sequence of diverse spaces whilst creating a welcoming and distinctive sense of place.
